Issue bulk certificates from an Excel or CSV roster
Bulk certificate issuance from Excel is how most training providers, universities, and HR teams operate at the end of a cohort. Mutamad accepts roster uploads in Excel or CSV format. You map each column — full name, email, course title, completion date, grade, hours, employee ID — to the fields defined in your template. The mapping persists for repeat cohorts so the next run requires only a fresh file.
Before generation, Mutamad presents a review step. You can scan the roster for spelling errors, missing emails, or inconsistent date formats and correct individual rows without re-uploading the entire sheet. This review gate reduces the cost of re-issuing credentials after a cohort closes.
Each row in the roster becomes one credential with its own verification code and permanent verify URL. The template you designed in the builder — bilingual Arabic and English, logo placement, custom fields — applies uniformly across the run. The preview-is-PDF principle holds for bulk issuance: every generated PDF matches the template exactly.
After generation, delivery can proceed by system email, bulk download, or WhatsApp click-to-send links prepared per recipient. WhatsApp delivery opens a pre-filled message with the verify URL; you send through your own WhatsApp account. There is no WhatsApp Cloud API integration. System email is metered on Free and Starter plans; Pro and Business tiers support bring-your-own SMTP for unlimited sends from your domain.
Plan limits shape volume expectations. The Free tier includes ten certificates and ten system emails per month with Mutamad branding on credentials and verify pages. Starter at twelve dollars per month covers one hundred certificates, removes branding, and adds three team seats. Pro at forty-nine dollars per month covers one thousand certificates with ten seats and BYO-SMTP. Grade fields remain hidden on public verification unless you enable them.
Credentials issued in bulk follow the same append-only model as single issuance. Revocation changes status without deleting the record or breaking the verify URL. Employers and auditors who look up a code years later will find the credential or its revoked state — never a 404 for a known code.
For organisations that run recurring programmes — quarterly compliance training, annual certifications, graduation ceremonies — bulk issuance from Excel removes manual copy-paste from a spreadsheet into a design tool. One template, one roster, one run, and every recipient receives a credential that renders correctly in Arabic and English and verifies on a stable public page.
Questions, answered plainly
- Which file formats does Mutamad accept for bulk import?
- Excel and CSV. Map columns to template fields, review the roster, then generate the run.
- Can I fix a typo before certificates are generated?
- Yes. The review step lets you edit individual rows before PDF generation begins.
- Are bulk-issued credentials verifiable the same way as single ones?
- Yes. Each row receives a unique code and permanent verify URL. Known codes always resolve.
